Mix different Templates?

I am thinking about creating a Site from different MT-Templates – more suitable for my customer.
Starting with the new "Focus"-Template I want to add the "work-page" from "Pioneer-Theme" and maybe the "class-catalog page" from your "Karma"-Template.
This will be an "interesting" mix – of course I will do a redesign.
    - First: is this possible without too many problems?
    - What should I pay particular attention to?
    - Most (all?) of your Templates using the same BP-settings – this will be helpful.
Start copy/paste at the smallest or the largest BP?
    - What about a mix between Fluid and Fixed-BP Pages? (Like "Build-Theme" together with "Focus"?

Maybe you have some helpful tips for me ;-)

    Greetings Berndt

    Interesting idea!
In my opinion the field is open. You can use different elements from different templates and redesign them as you want.
At the moment quite many designers are using fixed breakpoints on their pages. But I consider better combination of fixed & fluid method (combo). In combo I need only 3 breakpoints (page width 1400, fixed BP 1200 and 960, fluid BP 768) to get a site which works perfectly in responsive way on all devices. Of course your layouts are in very important role when you choose the method for your site. ;)
